Civilization and Leader Abilities Don't Work After Update

Some new abilities or effects may not be applied after an update until starting a new game or going through an Age transition in your current campaign.

Workaround:
We recommend starting a new game or continuing your current game into the next Age. We also recommend disabling any mods, as downloaded mods may not be compatible with the latest update.

If you want to keep playing your existing save pre-1.2.1, a legacy branch on Steam was added that will allow you to finish out any saves on the previous update.
