Incorrect Screen Appears When Selecting Continue
When selecting to "Continue" a campaign started before the 1.2.1 update, a loading screen may appear with no background image and all text moved to the very top.
Workaround: It may help to try restarting Steam first, then verifying your game files and reloading.
If you want to keep playing your existing save pre-1.2.1, a legacy branch on Steam was added that will allow you to finish out any saves on the previous update.

This is planned for a future update.
This is fixed in the latest Steam hotfix. Civilization VII: Patch Notes - Steam Only - June 2, 2025
