Steam: Game Doesn't Launch After Clicking "Play"
Players on PC Steam are experiencing issues launching the game. Nothing happens after clicking the "Play" button on Steam after installing the game. It also might show a short loading animation, but then the Play button will return and the game doesn't launch.

We have been hard at work investigating these reports since launch. In the majority of reports we've received, the device does not meet the Minimum System Requirements to run the Civilization VII on PC.
The most common culprit we’ve observed is the CPU. The easiest way to check this yourself is to take the Min-Spec CPU (Intel i5-4690) or (AMD Ryzen 3 1200) and Google search it against the CPU in your PC to compare the stats directly. CPUs that are older or less powerful will not be able to run the game without issues.

If you're still unsure if you meet the spec, you can Contact Support and attach a copy of your DxDiag and MSinfo files.
