[PC] Unhandled Exception Error

The game is crashing with the following error:

Unhandled Exception
Code:  EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION

The first thing to try when getting this error is some good old PC troubleshooting. Make sure you have completed all the steps on this page.

If that didn't help, we have some additional troubleshooting that might help you out.

• Try launching with DirectX11, even if you have used DirectX12 before
• Uninstall any mods that may be running
• Make sure to have the latest drivers for your graphics card installed
• Uninstall all copies of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable that may be on your PC, and install the redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 here.
• When launching the game, do not press any key or click anything until after the intro cutscene plays fully
