[PS4/PS5] Unable to Matchmake

As with any matchmaking issue, always ensure you have the latest version installed.

Sometimes a cache clear helps:

  • For PS4, this is as simple as pressing and holding the PlayStation button on your controller and selecting “Turn Off PS4.” After your system fully powers down, give it 10 to 20 seconds before restarting.
  • For PS5, you’ll need to do the following:
    • Hold down the power button on your console for three seconds. You’ll see the power indicator blink for a few moments before the system turns off.
    • Hold the power button again after the second beep. This comes roughly seven seconds after the first.
    • Connect your controller via your USB or USB-C cable and press the PS button. Then select “Clear System Software Cache”.

If cache clearing didn’t resolve the issue, it’s possible that a restrictive NAT Type could be limiting your online play capabilities. Please ensure you have an open NAT Type and Public IP. If you don’t, your internet service provider may be able to help.

You should be able to check your NAT Type by viewing the Connection Status on your console. This will show one of three different NAT Types, with Type 1 being the most open and Type 3 being the most restrictive.
