Steam: "Offline Account Detected, You are not connected to online services"

Players see an error message on the main menu telling them their 2K Account is offline despite having an account linked and being connected to the internet.

Workarounds:

- Go into your Civ VII folder, find and delete "...\AppData\Local\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VII\LegalDocuments.cache" then restart the game.

- Ensure your Steam client is set to ONLINE mode.

- Ensure your Steam username is free of any special characters. (such as slashes, brackets, and other symbols or certain non-english characters)

- Make sure you've signed in to your 2K Account at https://portal.2k.com/ and accepted the latest Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

- Check for any Firewall or Anti-Virus programs that may be blocking the game or its network requests.

- Unlink and relink your 2K Account.
