Multiplayer: Unable To Select Civ During Age Transition

The guest player is not moved to the Age Transition Civilization Selection screen, instead remaining on a blurred view of the map. The Host is able to proceed normally through their selection, but becomes stuck indefinitely as the game reports it is waiting for the other player.
