We’re deploying a hotfix specifically for console and Linux/Steam Deck players. This update primarily addresses a controller responsiveness issue, while also bringing over a few fixes that were previously released for desktop players.
A note for Switch players: This update is live as of July 2, 2026 for Switch and Switch 2.
- Addressed a reported issue where the controller could lose functionality when choosing an Enhancer Belief.
- Addressed a reported issue where Affirmation Traditions failed to appear under the Heian Traditions tab during game setup.
- Heian’s quote now properly appears in the Civilization Details screen during New Game creation.
- Improved mountain rendering to prevent texture pop-in when uncovering connected tiles.
