Civilization VII: Getting Support With Meta Quest VR

When you encounter an issue, bug, crash, or other problem on the Meta Quest VR in Civilization VII, you're going to want to see if there's a fix or a report to make about it. So with that in mind, we want to help you send all the information we might need to get the process moving quickly!

Things to include in your ticket:

  • All the steps you took leading up to the problem and details about what went wrong.
  • Video recording of the steps leading up to the issue and the problem itself.
  • Meta Quest VR firmware version.

How to take a screenshot or video from your Meta Quest VR:

  • Start recording
    • Press Meta button for VR headset controllers / Oculus icon on your right Touch controller to pull up your universal menu.
    • Select 'Camera' then select 'Record Video'.
    • Note: A red dot will appear in your headset to indicate that recording has started. This video capture indicator can be controlled from Settings.
  • Stop recording
    • Press Meta button for VR headset controllers / Oculus icon on your right Touch controller to pull up your universal menu.
    • Select 'Camera' then select 'Recording'.

Including your firmware version in your report - here's where to find it:

  • Press Meta button / Oculus button on your right Touch controller to open the universal menu.
  • Select the clock on the left side of the universal menu to open 'Quick settings'.
  • Select 'Settings' in the top right.
  • Select 'General', then select 'Software update'.

From here, you can check your current software version at the bottom of the window under Current Version or the top of the window next to the 'Update Software' button.
